This certification process ensures that Berger has proven competency in the design, proper engineering, and installation techniques implemented in professional sound reinforcement and associated systems. Berger is one of only three NICET certificate holders in audio systems technologies in the state of Iowa, and R & D Industries, Inc. is one of only two firms in the state to have NICET certified personnel on its engineering staff.

A graduate of South Clay High School, Berger has been employed with R & D Industries as a systems design engineer since 1996. His duties at R & D Industries include design of sound reinforcement systems and architectural acoustic consultation for a variety of clients including houses of worship, commercial, educational, engineering and architectural clients throughout the four state region. His parents, Rich and Harriet Berger, live in rural Clay County.
